What we do for Temporary Foreign Worker Applicants
Canada Guest Worker Services' (CGWS) goal is to help Canada grow and to help you have a better life by filling temporary and legal jobs in Canada. CGWS offers placement in temporary employment with well established companies.
- CGWS places you with companies that will give you the same treatment as Canadian workers with rights, benefits and wages.
- Once you have completed all the requirements necessary for the program, and if you are selected, CGWS will arrange an interview with you.
- Successful candidates have a second interview with the Canadian employer.
- Once you are hired by a Canadian company, our immigration attorney & immigration consultant will assist you in preparing your application for a Temporary Work Permit and will be your representative for this purpose.
- CGWS coordinates your transportation to and from Canada.
- CGWS finds suitable accommodations for you. You will be responsible for the monthly rent.
- CGWS helps you to settle into your new temporary surroundings.
- CGWS will orientate you on Canada living and working standards.
- CGWS will monitor the job conditions and performance of your work.
Note: The Canada Temporary Foreign Worker Program is not an immigration program. Guest workers must return to their country of origin upon completion of their contract. Guest workers must remain with their employer and cannot work for other companies while under contract.
Money matters: CGWS does not charge applicants for our services. However, there will be costs incurred on the applicant's behalf that are the responsibility of the applicant. Applicants should plan on having approximately $1,500 CAD on hand to cover costs such as travel incidentals (CGWS pays airfare only), visa fees, medical exam fee, first month rent, work & living expenses for the first month.
What CGWS does NOT do:
- We do not charge applicants any fees for placing them with an employer
- CGWS does not hire directly. We represent Canadian companies who do the hiring
- We do not promise workers a job, only to attempt to place them with an employer
- We do not pay for applicant’s expense of filling the pre-requisites
- We do not pay for applicant’s medical exams
- We do not pay for any medical expenses
- We do not pay for applicant’s Work Permit Fee
- We do not pay for applicants travel expenses except for the return airfare
- We do not pay for hotels, taxis, meals, or any other travel incidentals
- We do not pay workers rent or living expenses
- We do not pay for transportation to and from work
- We do not loan money
