Required of the Employers
- Employer must be a well-established, reputable company. Must have been in business for over one year.
- Employer must provide CGWS with documented proof that he/she has exhausted all efforts to recruit and keep Canadian citizen employees for the positions being offered (copy of ads and receipts for advertising, employee records, etc.). CGWS will assist in composing advertising that meets the requirements of Service Canada.
- Employer provides CGWS with all relevant company information and a detailed job description which includes the particulars of the skills and experience required to fill the job offer, location of job, length of the contract, work conditions, work schedule, full or part time, wage rate, benefits, etc., plus a copy of the employment contract.
- Employer signs the contract for our services and appoints CGWS as its representative to prepare and submit the Labour Market Opinion application, to recruit foreign workers on the company’s behalf, to assist the foreign worker with his Work Permit application, to assist in securing clean, affordable housing for the workers, and to coordinate travel arrangements for the workers. A labour market opinion authorizes the employer to fill the job being offered with a foreign worker.
- Upon approval of the Labour Market Opinion and selection of the foreign worker(s) by the employer, CGWS has our retained Immigration Attorney prepare the application for the worker’s Temporary Work Permit.
- On the first day of work CGWS delivers the foreign worker(s) to the work location. CGWS monitors the worker’s performance and assists in resolving any issues which may arise.
